چکیده

Objective: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia seen after coronary artery bypass(CABG) surgery. Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels known to have correlation with developement of post operative atrial (POAF) CABG In our study we investigated predictability preoperative HbA1c for postoperative POAF in patients who underwent isolated on-pump operation clinic. Method: We retrospectiveley studied 85 patients. Male female ratio was 3:1 and mean age 63-year old. All monitored intensive care unit than service occurance AF. Relationship between AF surgery evaluated. Results: This designed as cross-sectional array performed included study. Mean cohort 63.5 years male found 3:1. During monitoring period, 22 (25.8%) developed (p>0.05) . significiantly high POAF- positive group (p=0.003). Conclusions: According data, could be used a predictor undergoing

Associations between preoperative P-wave characteristics, C-reactive protein levels, and atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Introduction: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common complication of cardiac surgery which may cause remarkable morbidity and complications. Identifying predicting factors of this arrhythmia can help prophylactic therapy. The present study is designed to investigate the hypothesis that HsCRP level and P-wave characteristics are associated with the incidence of post-operative AF. Methods: ...

Preoperative sCD40L levels predict risk of atrial fibrillation after off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery.

BACKGROUND The risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) after coronary bypass surgery has been related to redox state, inflammation, and ischemia. Platelet activation is common to all of these pathways. We investigated the relation between AF and preoperative soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L), a proinflammatory marker released by activated platelets. Furthermore, we studied the role of inflammation, endothe...

Incidence of Atrial Fibrillation after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery and Its Risk Factors in Shiraz, Iran during 2017-18

Background and Objectives: Atrial fibrillation is one of the most common disorientations after coronary artery bypass graft surgery and can affect the chance of survival in the first year after surgery. The present study aimed to determine the incidence of atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft surgery and its risk factors.   Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on...

Atrial fibrillation after coronary artery bypass graft surgery.

BACKGROUND Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common adverse event following coronary artery bypass graft surgery. A recent study identified chromosome 4q25 variants associated with AF in ambulatory populations. However, their role in postoperative AF is unknown. We hypothesized that genetic variants in the 4q25 chromosomal region are independently associated with postoperative AF after coron...

Is SYNTAX Score Predictive of Atrial Fibrillation after On-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery?

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The relationship of synergy between percutaneous coronary intervention with taxus and cardiac surgery (SYNTAX) score and development of atrial fibrillation (AF) after coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) has not been studied. Therefore, we assessed the relationship between the SYNTAX score and development of AF after CABG (POAF). SUBJECTS AND METHODS The medical rec...
